We are located only 2 hours from the Mississippi Bridge in the Twin Citites, two hours from Madison, WI three hours from Milwaukee, WI and five hours from Chicago in the midst of Black River Country. The area is a great place for vacationing with beautiful hills and valleys: it offers camping, fishing, skiing, canoeing, kayaking, snowmobiling, and 4-wheeling. It has something in store for everyone!

There are approximately 200,000 acres of public lands. Jackson County Forest and Black River State Forest proved a perfect habitat for wildlife. Jackson County is also known as the "Deer Capital of Wisconsin".

We are the home of over 300 miles of snowmobile trails and over 100 miles of ATV trails. Many ski trails, hiking trails and much more are also the home of Black River Falls. Jackson County and the Black River State Forest offer many opportunities for hikers and also cross-country skiers. There are many miles of excellent quality recreational trails across Jackson County for your enjoyment. For the nature lover, breathtaking scenery and wildlife are aboundant everywhere in Jackson County.
